| Description | There is audio jitter when I reconnect the HDMI cable. You can easily reproduce, please check this issue. | ||||
| Steps To Reproduce | [Test Environments] TV : LG TV which support Dolby Audio STB : set audio output to "External Device". (refer to the attached document) [Test Step] 1. Connect with LG TV 2. Power off the STB 3. Power on the STB 4. Change channel which supports AC3(for example, 7 or 11) 5. You can hear the audio and LG TV display audio information as "Dolby Audio" 6. disconnect the HDMI cable and connect the HDMI cable 7 You can hear the audio jitter and LG TV display audio information as "PCM" | ||||

Hi Sangmin, 1.Which version of image did you use for testing this issue? 2.Could you provide ts file of channel 7 or channel 11 ? We ever got a ts for channel 7 but it seems the video pid and audio pid are changed. Please provide us a new one. |

Hi Sangmin, Thanks. We could reproduce this issue with your ts file. It seems only happen on LG TV, Samsung TV does not have this issue. I think SWAN outputs AC3 audio data to LG TV, but LG TV is not aware of the format is AC3 instead of PCM. We will keep on debugging it. |

HI Sangmin, I found if I add some delay (from 5ms to 35ms) in amp sdk during setting audio format. Then this issue is gone in my test with our office's LG TV (Model: OLED55B7T) I am not sure if it can work on other LG TV or not. Could you help to test the following image on your LG TV? http://altserver01.iptime.org/release_by_fxn/swan_test_image/20211224_LGTV_passthough_HDMI_hotplug/ If your test is also OK, I will tell Synaptics the modification to give them more information about this issue. Please note: this test image will add extra 30ms delay to each time you zapping IPTV channel and first time to play VOD. |

Hi Sangmin, Thanks your great help. I will check this modification with Synaptics. Do you find any issue when you zapping channel? For example, can you feel if it is slower than before? Or any audio pop sound when zapping channel? |

Hi, River, I didn't feel any weird point, but it needs the full test. I will request our QA team to test this firmware. |

Hi Sangmin, Yes, I can commit it and will inform you later. If Synaptics has any patch that can really fix it then I will remove this workaround and use Synaptics's patch. |

Hi Sangmin, Could you close this issue and we can reopen it when we get root cause fix patch from Synaptics? Because I think this issue may last for long time due to Synaptics is working on other higher priority issues.
